A suspect who rammed a vehicle into West Bloomfield’s Temple Israel synagogue and reportedly opened fire early Thursday afternoon, was identified by a security employee and killed in the exchange, Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard told reporters.

Bouchard said no children or staff were injured, and that there were no victims other than the lead security person who was hit by the vehicle and taken in for treatment.
