If one family member is undocumented, the entire household receiving housing assistance would be kicked out, under a proposal the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced Thursday.

Mixed status households should prepare to “pack your bags” when the rule is finalized, HUD said in a press release.
