The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors has hired Ramesh Kolluru as the next president of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Kolluru was considered the frontrunner for the position. Before being selected as interim president, he had been ULL’s vice president for research, innovation and economic development since 2012, a position that allowed him to form close relationships with prominent political figures in the state.
