Electric customers across New England will have to wait for anticipated refunds, after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission granted utilities a delay.

In March, FERC ruled that New England transmission owners had received profits that were “unjust and unreasonable.” The commission determined that the base return on equity rate in 2011 of 11.14% and the interim rate set in 2014 of 10.57% were too high.
