Rep. Carrie Rheingans (D-Ann Arbor) introduced legislation on Jan. 29 that would prohibit law enforcement from making stops, detentions or arrests based on personal characteristics, including perceived race and language spoken, as well as prevent law enforcement officers from entering locations with just an administrative warrant as opposed to a judicial warrant.
