Johnston Democratic Rep. Deborah Fellela wants businesses to be up-front about their surcharges for customers who pay with credit cards.

Fellela’s bill, H7022, introduced Jan. 9 in the Rhode Island House of Representatives, would amend the state’s Unfair Sales Practices law to require businesses to clearly disclose any fees or surcharges that are added when customers pay by credit card.
