SALEM, N.H. — An upcoming childcare center on 142 Main St. will be receiving a local tax break for the next few years.

The project that seeks to convert a former Rite Aid into a Goddard School was already approved by the Planning Board in March, but will now see a reduction in taxes on new value added through the renovation. The exemption was approved by the Town Council Monday.
