A central Arkansas county’s legislative body plans to vote next month on whether to put a $1.4 million local library funding cut on the November ballot.

The proposal comes two years after Saline County Judge Matt Brumley rejected a similar citizen-led effort on technicalities, and three years after Brumley fired the county library director for refusing to make LGBTQ+ books inaccessible to children.
