Sidewalk improvements ‘ahead of schedule’ on Washington, Walker streets

Port Townsend’s public works team expects the construction and detour on Washington and Walker streets to last nearly two months.

While work is underway, westbound drivers on Washington will be detoured through Benton, Lawrence and Kearney streets before returning to Sims Way.

The project scope includes block retaining walls and about two blocks of new ADA-compliant sidewalk along Washington and Walker Streets.
