Skagit County has paused intakes for most new Meals on Wheels clients as it works to transition the program to the nonprofit Skagit Council on Aging on July 1.

However, seniors with a pressing need for the meals can sign up and start receiving deliveries in June. The pause has been in effect since June 1. The county continues to take calls from those looking to enroll in the meal program.
