OLYMPIA – The state Department of Fish and Wildlife is planning to restrict a number of activities on publicly owned land managed by the agency on June 15.

Agency Land Division Manager Keven Connally is blaming drought conditions for the restrictions on fires, shooting, smoking and more.

“With this winter’s low snowpack and a statewide drought already declared, we’re hoping for the best but planning for the worst for this year’s wildfire season,” Connally said. …
