After three terms in the Maine Legislature, Joe Baldacci is making a run for Congress.

Baldacci, a Democrat, plans to formally announce his run for the open seat in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District Monday afternoon at Orono Brewing Company. The race is open after Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Golden, who has held the seat for the last eight years, announced in November that he would not seek re-election.
