The Tennessee Department of Correction is proposing a two-year contract to maintain the state’s Community Corrections program but keeping a 15% funding reduction in place, finagling with the funds in a mild case of Tin Man’s disease.

The intensive probation program with 300 positions in 15 agencies across the state resurfaced a couple of years ago, after the state tried to shut it down, but is treading water.
