Three Democrats, Deputy Attorney General Stephanie Itkin-Goodman, Pastor M.J. Ivy, and real estate agent Edgar Velazquez, are vying to represent the party in the general election for public administrator.

The office is responsible for administering the property of Southern Nevada residents who die without a will. The position garnered little attention until former Public Administrator Rob Telles murdered journalist Jeff German in 2022 after German’s stories uncovered Telles’ mismanagement of the office.
