When I listen to New Hampshire lawmakers cite their reasons for voting against new or increased fees or stewardship programs, I’m usually sympathetic to the proffered argument.

Life is expensive in New Hampshire, and it’s getting more expensive by the day. For that reason alone, I don’t like the idea of nickel-and-diming residents who have long since trimmed every ounce of fat from their household budgets.
