Officials with the city of Tuscaloosa said Wednesday they would drop a lawsuit filed against the Alabama Department of Revenue over its administration of the state’s Internet sales tax, known as the Simplified Sellers Use Tax (SSUT).

In a statement on Facebook, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox wrote that withdrawing the lawsuit is an effort to work collaboratively with the Alabama Legislature.
