An internal study from the University of Northern Iowa has totaled the multi-year financial impact of student teachers in rural Iowa in the millions of dollars.

The Cedar Falls university announced in a news release that, between fall of 2020 and 2024, student teachers studying at UNI “contributed an estimated $11.76 million in financial benefit,” according to a study conducted by UNI.
