CHENEY – Eastern Washington University has opened its residence halls to students, employees and others displaced by the Spokane Complex Wildfires, offering temporary housing as recovery efforts continue.

The university announced Aug. 4 that it is providing emergency lodging for students, faculty and staff who have been forced from their homes because of the fires. Immediate family members, along with dogs and cats, are also eligible to stay in campus housing during the temporary program.
