ROCHESTER — Waste Management, the city's largest taxpayer, may look to keep its landfill operating beyond 2034, the long targeted date for its closure.

Waste Management Area Vice President Chris Lucarelle told Rochester city councilors during a Sept. 9 tour of the landfill the company is now looking to add a few more years, potentially operating until 2037.
