WEST CALDWELL TWP. – The old ShopRite on Passaic Avenue is somewhat in limbo due to unanswered questions on its future as a housing development.

As of Tuesday, July 7, a Caldwell-based developer, Danbro Properties, has indicated that it wants to build at least 198 new apartment units on the site, with 20% of them being affordable units.
