New Mexico legislators worked through the weekend in advance of the noon close to the session this Thursday.

On Saturday, the state Senate voted 22-20 to pass Senate Bill 235, the Microgrid Oversight Act, intended to provide state regulators greater authority over on site power grids — often called microgrids — and require these private power sources to follow the landmark Energy Transition Act.
