Samuel Johnson (1709–1784) once said, “Integrity without knowledge is weak and useless, and knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful.” Vaclav Havel (1936-2011) later warned, “Without commonly shared and widely entrenched moral values and obligations, neither the law, nor democratic government, nor even the market economy will function properly.” Both statements feel especially relevant today.
