North Carolina county elections boards are set to meet Friday to certify primary vote totals. That will bring the spotlight back to state Senate District 26, which includes Rockingham County and parts of Guilford County.

A count of provisional votes last week, added to unofficial election night totals, put Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page ahead of Senate Leader Phil Berger, one of the most powerful politicians in the state, by 23 votes.
