Childcare providers around West Virginia are celebrating a landmark bill that they along with lawmakers say is an important first step in helping to stabilize the struggling industry.

Some lawmakers and Secretary of State Kris Warner toured the Cross Lanes YMCA Child Development Center in Kanawha County on Monday, seeing firsthand how childcare workers support hundreds of young children with hands-on learning and meals.
